ONE lucky punter will have the opportunity to take a signed acoustic guitar home from Rockfest this year.
The instrument will be raffled off on stage to raise funds for The Make a Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of kids battling life threatening illnesses.
David Storer from Mildura Entertainment said the guitar would be signed by all artists appearing in the line-up and would be handed over by one of them on the night.
"It's a way to get charity involved. Over the past four years we have raised over $50,000 by raffling guitars," he said.
The money raised will be put towards helping sick kids in the region, he said.
"So it's for the Make A Wish Foundation, it's for kids that are dying. They always do amazing things. We had a kid in Ouyen a little while back who wanted a swimming pool, so they put one in his backyard, it's just things like that," he said.
With Daryl Braithwaite, Shannon Noll, Chocolate Starfish and Reece Mastin all set to appear on stage in December, Mr Storer said they are expecting to at least double last year's numbers.
"Last year we had over 1000 people, but this year the line-up is more high profile and we're expecting around 2,000 maybe more," he said.
"It's a great day, no one left last year saying they didn't have a good time."
Raffle tickets will be $5 each or three for $10.
"Everybody was well behaved last year, there's no reason this year can't be bigger. We have three VIP marquees left, we've booked the rest," Mr Storer said.
Tickets are $79.95 and are available from Muso's Stuff on Curlewis Street or online at www.milduraartscentre.com.au
Rockfest will be held on Saturday, December 2 at Riverside Park.
Gates will open at 3pm and close at 11pm.
