THREE Swan Hill Specialist School students returned to class this week with some new bling to show their classmates.

Logan Tonkin, Anthony Longmuir and Claire Barr all brought home medals from last week's State Swimming Championships in Melbourne.

Anthony finished third in the 50m freestyle and backstroke events, while Logan, at his first State Championship meet, won a bronze medal in 50m freestyle.

Fellow students Darryn Stevenson and Zoee Howe also competed at the event for the first time.

Claire Barr, 17, took gold in the 50m freestyle, as well as silver in 50m backstroke and breaststroke events and is now eligible to compete at the National Championships if she is selected in the Victorian squad.

Claire's haul came less than a week after scooping a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke at the Australian Age Championships in Brisbane.
