Up to 30 bags full of rubbish were dumped next to a bin at a rest bay on the Murray Valley Highway at Wood Wood over the Easter long-weekend.

Wood Wood resident Ann Algie is sick of the stink that wafts through the area every long-weekend after a pile of rubbish was dumped at the town's popular rest area over Easter. 

Ms Algie said authorities collected the rubbish from the rest bay on the Murray Valley Highway on Tuesday, but the foul smell had already lingered for days previous. 

"No less than a day later another bag full of rubbish was dumped next to the small picnic bin," she said.

"It could be another long-weekend with Anzac Day on Tuesday, so something needs to be done before it gets to this stage.

"Boundary Bend is in the same predicament as us, but they have a skip bin."

We need a skip bin, at least on long weekends and public holidays. 

"It's smelly and right near where people stop and have a cuppa," Ms Algie said. "It's not very pleasant." 

"It's sad that in 2017 we have got rubbish thrown across our amenities.
