Embattled Member for Farrer Sussan Ley has refused to resign from the ministry as her travel claims to the Gold Coast are investigated.
The Minister for Health, Aged Care and Sport, Ms Ley stepped down without ministerial pay before she appeared at a media conference in her electorate at Albury on Monday, where she said she had "nothing to hide" over multiple trips to the Gold Coast between 2013 and 2016.
The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet will investigate the claims.
"I have not broken any of the rules but I recognise I need to be transparent and open my travel records to scrutiny," Ms Ley told journalists.
The Federal Opposition called for the MP to quit after it was revealed she bought a $795,000 luxury apartment, that was "unplanned" during a ministerial visit to the Gold Coast in May 2015.
