BALRANALD Netball Club is again on the look-out for new players.
Just a few weeks out from the start of the Central Murray Football Netball League season, the Roos again look like they will be short of numbers in the 17 and under and senior teams.
And while a number of 17 and under players are keen to try their hand at A grade, the club expects it won't be enough to make a viable senior list.
Balranald club president Elaine Campbell said it was a critical shortage that had plagued the club in recent years, with the CMFNL granting the Roos an exemption from fielding a B grade side last year.
Campbell said she didn't think another exemption was on the cards.
"We probably won't apply for an exemption, we've already had two and I don't think they'll let us do that again," she said.
Campbell said a planned training run last night would give the Roos a better indication of where they were at.
"At this stage we'll be short of under 17s and senior players," she said.
"And we'll need more helpers. The committee people have taken it all on again, nobody else is putting their hands up."
Campbell said she felt sourcing players from Swan Hill was a potentially viable option.
"Somebody might miss out somewhere else and think they could come (to Balranald) to play," she said.
