ANZAC Day times

THE Swan Hill region will pause and reflect on Thursday to honour the bravery of Australian and New Zealand soldiers, who on this day formed part of the Allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula.

They became known as Anzacs, and the pride they took in that name continues to this day, with many school children now carrying the symbolism and importance of the day.
